Mario Kart DS is, at its core, the "best of the Mario Kart best." It's not just for kids, my husband plays as much as the children do. The kart mechanics, handling, and techniques are a mishmash of elements from all games in the series, from the kart hopping of the SNES original to the powersliding and boosting from the GameCube sequel. The racing design of Mario Kart is remarkably tight and responsive with tons of strategy that are both apparent and hidden. My family would recommend this game to any game player, they believe it is the best one yet!
